K VEIN IN STONE, U.S.
An idyllic watering spot to slake the thirst for the passing herd and
Kjell's treasured namesake "K". The vein in this smoothly eroded,
glittering igneous stone could be followed for a few hundred yards, and
may have originated from volcanic eruption.
Gold and silver-bearing rocks are often found in areas
where Precambrian metamorphic intrusions, or tectonic events, have allowed
gold or other precious metal to be concentrated in economic quantities.
Weathered out they may be concentrated in streams at lower areas. |
